Completely self-taught fine art photographer Erika Zolli currently lives and works in Milan.
Her work is known for its surreal and dreamlike vision, combining the compositional power of abstraction with the emotional power of dreams, leading the observer towards a new aesthetic.
In her latest project Aerial Flowers, Erika focuses on the body and its harmonious development through movement. The project consists of a series of eight images showing the same subject – aerial acrobatic performer, Francesca Alberti – immortalised in eight different positions.
Minimal images on a black background are embellished by the sensuality of the aerial disciplines of the circus and the dynamism of the human figure often associated with nature.
